Three things I’ve learned while working with small businesses recently…

1. WordPress is everywhere – 46% of the internet runs on WordPress, and every business I’ve worked with lately uses it.

2. Many don’t track their website data – Around 25% of UK sites use WordPress analytics, but most still rely on Google Analytics. Shockingly, a few of the sites I saw had no tracking at all! (Not great… but I’ve fixed that for them now 😇)

3. Something new is coming – In September, a new tool called Etch is launching. It calls itself “the first truly unified visual development environment for WordPress” – sounds like it could be a game changer? (give it a search on YouTube)

So, if that 46% were thinking about leaving WordPress, maybe this will make them think twice? Especially if moving a whole online shop is involved.

Or has AI made this too little, too late?
